BIO
Amelia Rose is a Texas-born and based sculptor who uses classical sculpting techniques to talk about contemporary ideas. From a very young age she began turning household items into sculptures. This led her to going to a fine arts school for 7 years and is now pursuing her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture at the University of Texas at Arlington. In school she bridges the discipline of traditional craftsmanship with the rawness of contemporary experience. Her hands shape what words often cannot. Tenderness, grief, and the quiet ache of being alive.
Drawing inspiration from the shared experiences of humans and animals, she explores the fragile intersection between beauty and tragedy. Her sculptures reflect the vulnerability inherent in all living things, capturing moments when strength falters but endurance remains. Through this dialogue between species, she reveals a universal struggle. One defined by connection, survival, and the resilience of the body and spirit.
Through her work, Amelia Rose seeks to honor the raw beauty of imperfection and the quiet strength that emerges from loss. In the stillness of her forms, viewers are invited to witness the poetry of endurance. The way life continues, fragile yet unyielding, within every scar and gesture of survival.
